01 / Context

The goal and project context

An online store for children's and teenagers' furniture. The catalogue reflects how a room is actually furnished: customers can buy one item or build a complete collection over time. Availability and dispatch time are visible in the listing because they are the two questions customers ask most often.

What needed to change

More than 200 products and 27 collections had to support furnishing a whole room without hiding availability, dimensions or dispatch time.

02 / Design decision

From an intention to the next step

The catalogue connects categories, filters and collections. Stock, dispatch time and dimensions are visible before opening the product page.

Journey A

I'm looking for one item

  1. Narrow the catalogue
  2. Check dimensions and availability
  3. Continue to purchase

Journey B

I'm furnishing a room

  1. Explore collections
  2. Choose matching pieces
  3. Review delivery and the order

03 / Execution

Decisions carried into the details

Detail 01

Two scales of purchase decision

  • 215 product pages and 27 collections that can furnish a complete room
  • Filters by category, price, colour and age rather than product name alone
  • Dimensions included in product names because they are the first practical question

Detail 02

Product detail before ordering

  • Ten category pages and six groups providing two ways to reach a product
  • Collections treated as a buying unit because parents furnish rooms, not isolated wardrobes
  • Basket and checkout on the site

  1. Ten practical articles about furnishing a child's room
  2. Four language versions with roughly 280 pages each, including Ukrainian

04 / Capabilities and implementation

What this site can do

  • Sells on the spot

Kids & Teens keeps the basket and the checkout in-house — nobody is handed to a different service mid-purchase.

Verification date and method

Measured on the live site, 12 September 2026. Readings come from the checked public pages: browser loading measurements, axe-core accessibility checks, HTTP headers, the app manifest and sitemap. They describe the measured state rather than business outcomes. The verification scope depends on the capability shown.

How it is built

A store that moves from category to basket through filters and sorting, with stock and dispatch time visible immediately and order tracking after purchase. It includes four languages and a separate gift finder.

05 / Delivered result

What it led to

A buyer can start with one item or a coordinated collection, check availability without contacting support and complete an order in four languages.
